The Stanley bench plane is constructed form iron that is made from extra thick 1/8 In. A2 steel for superior edge retention. The one piece base and frog virtually eliminates chatter. A cherry wood handle and knob are fashioned to the plane for comfort. The throat plate is adjustable for different types of wood.
