Description
Tekton 3/8 Inch 6 Point. Flare Nut Crowfoot Set, 5/16 – 1-1/16 Inch, 8-27 mm
This Tekton 3/8 Inch Drive Flare Nut Crowfoot Wrench Set features a complete range from 5/16 to 1-1/16 inch and 8 to 27 mm. The sizes of our flare nut crowfoot wrenches scale optimally with fitting depths to achieve the best possible combination of engagement, access, and strength. Our design is leaner than conventional 6-point crowfoot wrenches, giving you more room to work in tight spaces. The wrenches are abrasive blasted to create a smooth, satin finish. Our electroless nickel plating process applies a uniform, corrosion resistant coating to the entire tool surface. Each crowfoot wrench has a permanent high-contrast size marking engraved on the side. This set includes portable storage racks that are custom-made in the USA from durable polypropylene. The racks feature size-marked slots and a low-profile design, making them compatible with shallow 3-inch tool cabinet drawers. The wrenches are made entirely in the USA with USA-sourced materials. Most of the steps, including machining, broaching, blasting, plating and engraving, take place at Tekton’s manufacturing facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Features
Optimized for Engagement, Access, and Strength – Our deep, 6-point design maximizes your contact with fittings and prevents slipping
Reinforced Jaw Strength – We reinforced our wrenches with material where it matters most to avoid high stress concentrations and prevent the jaws from spreading
15-Degree Offset Increases Access Angles – The jaw opening is offset 15 degrees from the center of the wrench so that it can be flipped over to gain additional access angles
Electroless Nickel Plating for Corrosion Resistance – The electroless nickel plating finish is easy to wipe clean, highly resistant to corrosion, and has a low environmental impact compared to conventional hexavalent chrome plating
Uniform Coverage and Better Fit – The electroless plating process applies a uniform coating to the entire tool surface; by comparison, electroplating, including conventional chrome plating, has varying thickness across the tool because the plating thickness depends on the electric current density at each point on the tool
